“Science is always wrong. It never solves a problem without creating ten more.”GEORGE BERNARD SHAW
“If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in five years there’d be a shortage of sand.”-Milton Friedman
Want to change the world? There’s nothing to it.
Imagination is the most powerful tool we have; it’s our superpower. With great power comes great responsibility and we are responsible for the world we create. If we want a better world, we must imagine it first, and believe in that image. We see what we believe, we reap what we sow, and that all begins with our thoughts, so choose your thoughts wisely.
I cannot think of any song that describes the power of the imagination better than “Pure Imagination” sung by Willy Wonka, played by Gene Wilder, in the 1971 movie Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory. This is one of my favorite films of all time; it never gets old because it’s full of wonderful wisdom. “Je n’aime pas le pantalon lorsqu’il est porté de façon revendicatrice. C’est à dire ‘je suis l’égal de l’homme,’ le côté George Sand, suffragette. Je n’aime pas ça du tout. Je pense qu’en portant un pantalon, une femme peut développer son maximum de féminité pour lutter contre lui. C’est un handicap qu’il faut surmonter par sa féminité.”
YVES SAINT LAURENT
In other words; wear pants as proof that you’re a woman. Don’t wear them to prove that women can also wear pants.
